February 25th, 2007Sweet Flame Text Effect
Hi, after getting success from this post. I want to make another post like it. Today I will teach you to make a sweet flame text in Adobe Photoshop. It is differet than Fire effect and better(I think). You will need +7.0 photoshop. It is very easy Tutorial. Let’s start
1) Make a New File by going to File and then New (CTRL+N). Fill 400 in width and 200 in height.
2) Fill you document with Black color. Now press x (It will Flip color). Use Type Tool (T) and Type your name whatever. Put it on the center of the document.
3) Now hit CTRL+E to merge both layers
Now you have something like this:-

4) Now, use Filter >> Stylize >> Wind with settings “Wind” and “From the left” Press ok, then press Ctrl + F, this will apply it a second time.
5) Then, use another Filter » Stylize » Wind, but this time with the settings “Wind” and “from the right“. Press Ctrl + F to re-apply, just like before.
Now it should look something like this:-

6) Now use Image >> Rotate Canvas >> 90 CCW and apply the Filter >> Stylize >> Wind 2 times to the left and 2 times to the right. When u have completed that, go to Image >> Rotate Canvas >> 90 CW.

7) Now Apply Filter >> Blur >> Gaussian Blur with a value of 2, then Filter >> Distort >> Ripple with the default values.
Now we ‘ll have to convert the image to Grayscale by using Image >> Mode >> Grayscale and then to Image >> Mode >> Indexed Color.

9) The next step is to give our image some color, so choose Image >> Mode >> Color Table. Since we’re shooting for a “fire effect” choose the Black Body table From the drop down menu.

10) Now we are going to make it look like a solar eclipse kinda. Press X on ur keyboard then use ur text tool and type the exact text u started with and move it over the top of the flames and u shud get something similar like this.

DONE! HOW IT IS LOOKING! IF YOU LIKED IT THEN DON’T FORGET TO GIVE A COMMENT

Ok at the last part where you make a new text, try this:
Type exactly the same in any color u want [U can see it the best with black] Go to blending options, Gradient Overlay, Select the Orange|yellow|Orange one.
Then select Outer Glow, Change Color to black.
Blend Mode: Normal
Opacity: 100
Spread: 42
Size: 10
Range: 100
